GlossyBox Reviews

1. FAB Gentle Body Wash

This product was pretty boring to be honest. FAB (First Aid Beauty) Gentle Body Wash is specifically designed as a moisturising cleanser intended for daily use on sensitive skin. Having used it consecutively for a week, it did very little to moisturise my skin and although the packaging is quite creative and appealing, the product certainly didn’t mirror this. Having received a Rituals shower gel (see review here) in December which smelt divine and is still lasting me now, this product was a massive let down. I really like a shower gel that has a foaming formulae and will therefore last much longer, however this one didn’t foam up at all, which meant that I had to use twice as much of the product to see results. I can appreciate that it is for sensitive skin so that will naturally limit its versatility but I just don’t think that this warrants its dullness!

If you do suffer really badly with sensitive skin then you may feel that this product does well to ease your skins irritability, however if you suffer occasionally with dry skin like me, then perhaps something as gentle as this isn’t for you.

Full size this product will set you back £13, which ordinarily I would say is a reasonably price. But as this product doesn’t really equate to much you have to use twice as much to wash with, so a bottle probably wouldn’t last you very long.

This product definitely wasn’t for me, so I will give it just 1 out of 5 as it delievered very little. It’s neither here nor there really, I don’t have much more to say… it was just boring!

2. Eyeko Skinny Eyeliner

I received the Eyeko Skinny Eyeliner in a plum shade, which isn’t really a colour I would tend to use on my eyes. I hate to sound like a massive moan on my blog today, but this was yet another product that I felt looked better than it performed!

I was really curious to use this eyeliner as I am already familiar with the Eyeko brand and the range of products that it has to offer. Eyeliner is a key part of my daily make-up routine and I would be lost without it, I am therefore always keen to try new types, shades and brands. Needless to say having given it a fair try, this eyeliner just wasn’t for me. If I had been given a different shade of eyeliner then I would have been able to experiment a little more, but the plum colour simply didn’t suit me. Personally I think that plum isn’t a colour that looks right on your eyes, it made me look tired and actually like I had been crying! I have seen other reviews from bloggers who have also received the plum coloured eyeliner and have been equally unhappy with it. If you have received the Eyeko eyeliner in plum and have devised a way to use the product in a way that doesn’t make you look like you have chronic insomnia…let me know! I would have been interested to try this product in the Emerald Green shade or the Midnight blue.

This skinny eyeliner comes with a silver handle that looks great and makes the product easier to apply. The handle allows you to be more precise when you are applying the eyeliner, so if precise definition is something that you struggle with, then this product could help you significantly. The handle did make it easier to apply the eyeliner, but when applied the pigmented nature of the product left my eye-make up looking a tad messy, which I didn’t like. Also the handle is quite deceiving as it makes it look like the eyeliner itself is much bigger than it actually is! So if this were a product that you took a liking to, I can imagine it would end up being a costly part of your make-up routine unless you use it sparingly.

The eyeliner went on well and was soft in texture but I just wasn’t wowed by it. I am therefore giving it a disappointing 2 out of 5. I am glad I tried this product as I have been meaning to for a while now, but I wouldn’t use it again as I firmly believe there are far better, cheaper products available on the market. The Eyeko eyeliner costs £9.50, where as Rimmel Liquid and pencil eyeliner are two of my favourites and cost very little in comparison. Whats more with them, you know what you are getting and they do the job just fine.

I hope everyone has had a nice week:) Above is a photo summary of what's been happening in the last couple of weeks. Firstly I met the newest edition to my family yesterday, baby Leonardo and he is gorgeous! I have also managed to get a new job this week as I have mentioned and I start tomorrow, I cannot wait to be a working woman again. This picture was taken from a card my amazing auntie gave me:) I have also discovered Nero's porridge with my mama and it is to die for! This is of course equally as important as my new second cousin and job haha. I ate my body weight in pancakes and tried savoury pancakes for the first time with a very close friend and February's GlossyBox, 'The Fashion Week Edition' landed on my doormat. I said farewell to a lovely friend who is going travelling for a month in Oz and another close friend who has moved house and got a new job! Overall it's been a fabulous couple of weeks...

Happy Friday everyone! Soon I will be living the Monday-Friday dream myself and I seriously cannot wait. I have been making the most of my last 'free' days off, going to the gym lots and watching far too much of Dickinson's Real Deal-living the dream! Here are my OOTD photos for Friday 24th February, I didn't think I would be doing this again for awhile!

So I managed to see through a little challenge I set myself on the 15th January, 'Day 74' of my 100 day challenge. I vowed that I wouldn't buy any clothes for an entire month and I am very pleased to say that I have managed to complete it! Partly because of will power but mostly because I have no money to my name. My challenge is over now, so I celebrated my success with a new pair of boots! Now onto my next challenge. I have given up chocolate for Lent but who knows how successful I will be with this one. Has anyone else given up anything for Lent this year?

summer nostalgia?

I don't know about where you guys are today, but the weather here in Exeter is absolutely miserable. At the moment it feels like summer is a distant memory but with bright colour clashing shades on the trend radar, the summertime blues are not here to stay. If you are a trend follower and you were brave enough to clash your colours last summer, this summer think even bolder and crazier. Personally I am a massive fan of colour clashing as I think it gives you the freedom to be creative. I am feeling much happier today anyway as I have finally managed to find a job (yey!) so all I need now is a bit of sunshine and I'll be a very happy lady. Has anyone booked any summer holidays yet? GlossyBox Review

Good afternoon to you all:) As I pointed out in yesterday's post, 'the editorial calendar' on Monday's I will be posting my GlossyBox Reviews. Whilst writing this review I have actually just received February's Glossybox (admittedly I am quite behind with my reviews!) and unfortunately it is a little disappointing. There are actually a lot of disappointed GlossyBox subscribers on twitter currently voicing their concerns about the products in this months box, but anyway back to today's review....

The product in question today is the Weleda One Step Cleanser & Toner

pictured below.

I was really pleased with this product on the whole, I only wish we were given a bigger sample as it went really quickly! The packaging, as you can see is slightly clinical which was a tad disturbing and the liquid itself actually looked like liquid penicillin! After looking on the website however they said it was a 'milky' product which is probably a better way of describing it! Although I don't tend to use too many different products on my skin as it is really sensitive, this product really made my skin feel fresh and clean at the end of an evening. As shocking as this may sound to all you skincare buffs out there, I don't actually use a cleanser or a toner. Instead I stick to a simple combination of Nivea oil free moisturiser and Nivea wet wipes for combination skin (boring I know!) But after trying this product I think I would consider buying it in full size and making it part of my daily skin- care routine. Usually using something new on my skin would bring me out in a rash but this product was gentle and it's deep cleansing action make my skin glow after just a few days. If you are someone who suffers with problem skin then I really do recommend trying this product, as even after a week of using it my skin maintained its clarity and felt much more refreshed. Although I only received a sample size, I would definitely pay the RRP for the full sized product. It was actually really shocking to see how much of my make-up was left on my skin at the end of the night even after having removed it with a wet wipe.

As a company I really respect Weleda, as unlike other skin care company's they appear to have clear ethics and morals. They don't test any of there products on animals, they work with all kinds of associations including the Anthroposophic Health, Education and Social Care Movement and they work in harmony with nature, using nothing but natural ingredients. In terms of value for money I think that £9.95 for a 100ml product is very reasonable, especially considering how much effort has gone into making the product and the quality of the ingredients involved. It's also worth considering that for under £10 you get both a cleanser and a toner, which could save you money in the long run. In comparison to products such as Clinique's 'Rinse off Foaming Cleanser' which I have used before and didn't like at all, Weleda's product is far better and costs far less.

I rate this product very highly and definitely wouldn't hesitate in giving it 5/5. I will use this product again... when I can afford to do so! There are a range of other products that Weleda have to off as well which may be worth checking out if you have already found your ideal cleanser and toner. You can shop by plant on their website as well which is a really refreshing idea, depending on the ingredients you favour the smell or effect of. Another good thing is that if you want to try out a product but perhaps begrudge paying the full amount for it in case you don't like it, you can buy a mini version of it first which costs about £2/3. I am really interested to try the product below as it is highly commended :

Now that my 100-day challenge is over (phew) I think it is about time that bracelets & bangles was given a bit of a shake-up. You may remember me saying on Day 99 of my challenge that I intended to introduce an, 'editorial calendar' on here. In doing this I am hoping that I can bring about a sense of consistency and rhythm to my little space on the Internet. I have broken the week down (see below) so that when you check in on a certain day you will know exactly what to expect. I actually had a calendar for my blog before I started my challenge, but the challenge itself took up so much of my spare time that I didn't get a chance to write much else on here. That said, here is what a typical week on my blog will look like from now on...

So it is that time of year again when London Fashion Week hits our catwalks. If like me you have expensive taste but a serious lack of funds to back it up, then fashion week can be a rather deflating time. Feeling the pinch as much as I currently am, looking good on a night out or for a special occasion can prove quite challenging. I tend to get bored with my clothes very quickly and although I hate to admit it, I do tend to wear something just the once and then refuse to wear it again. January's Glossy Box

I received January's GlossyBox about two weeks ago now and I was pleasently surprised to see that this GlossyBox was yet another limited edition one...I definitely joined at the right time! For Christmas we were given a limited edition scarlett red box and now in aid of Valentines Day a hot pink one. I have used a few of the products already and I am really loving the cleanser & toner, however I am a little disappointed with the body wash and the primer. Full reviews on all of the products will follow soon.

On the whole I definitely preferred my previous GlossyBox goodies but even with that in mind, I would still really recommend joining the GlossyBox club. All of the products in this box totalled to over £65, so considering I only paid £12 (including P&P) this is a massive bargain! I am aware that not all of the products are full sized but it's great to get a taste of what is out there on the beauty market, as I tend to stick to the same old products all the time.

DAY 100!

Hurrah! My challenge is complete and I have successfully managed to take photos of my outfits for the past 100 day's. Day 1 feels like a lifetime ago! It is a beautiful sunny day here in Exeter, so I decided to make the most and take my photos outside. I am so pleased to say bracelets & bangles has reached nearly 11,000 hits! Considering I never thought anyone would bother reading my blog, I see this as a massive achievement and thank everyone who continues to read. I will definitely keep up the posting when my challenge is over and I am looking to introduce an 'editorial calendar' that will see me consistently posting on certain topics each week, enabling a content rhythm and hopefully ensuring that my blog traffic continues to rise. Today I will be reviewing two more of the products from December's GlossyBox. (See December’s GlossyBox post here.)

1. Cargo Lip Gloss

So far I have been pretty positive when it comes to the products in December's GlossyBox. So far each product has lived up to its expectations and each product was certainly worth the monthly fee of just £10. However the Cargo Lip Gloss was pretty disappointing to be honest. Although it certainly didn't do my lips any harm, there wasn't anything special about it that made it stand out. I definitely wouldn't rush out to buy it again, nor would I necessarily recommend it to a friend. I was given a peachy shade lip gloss, as you can see from the photo below and its RRP is £10. There are definitely better lip glosses on the market if it's value for money or impact you are after and to say £10 is expensive for this product is an understatement. I really recommend Virgin Vie's Blush Gloss which will also cost you £10 but will give you so much more for your pennies. The Blush Gloss reacts with the skins natural PH, leaving your lips a sheer strawberry or a deep cherry depending on your skin tone. It stains the lips and will quite literally stay on all day. The only problem with this product is that it is quite often out of stock! But I think this is a good sign as apposed to a bad- at least you know people are going crazy for it!

Cargo Lip Gloss you were a let down! I would give this product just 1/5 as it was disappointing and uninspiring. I definitely wouldn't pay £10 for it and I can see it being one of those beauty products that over time I will forget I have and end up throwing away.

2. Nip + Fab Spot Fix

This product was okay. (I am really sounding miserable today hey?!) An anti-blemish gel which claims to 'reduce the appearance of problem prone skin', this spot fix was worth a try. If my skin is looking a little unhealthier then usually, I don't really tend to use spot fixes or any of those sorts of products. I have really sensitive skin so sometimes products like this one tend to do more harm then good. However it did help to reduce the blemish but it definitely wasn't a quick fix and it certainly wasn't 'instant' as it claimed to be. The product is easy to use and comes in a handy tube that allows you to apply the gel straight to the problem area. The gel contains healing agents such as eucalyptus and tea tree, both of which are renowned for being effective in solving skin problems and this explains its anti-inflammatory properties. The packaging is attractive and I like the idea of a 'Nip + Fab' fix, however I think its RRP of £9.95 is a bit steep.

I don't really have much more to the say on this particular product. It was just okay, nothing spectacular and although I think I will use the rest of the tube, I don't think I would buy it again afterwards. I give the Nip + Fab Spot Fix 2/5, a good product that serves its purpose but like all the other products that claim to work instantly, this one definitely doesn’t. I think I will stick to bucket loads of water and masses of fruit for healthy looking skin!

I was really impressed with Deborah Lippmann's nail varnish (a review for this product can be seen here) and the nail varnish remover was equally as good. It smelt of lavender which was a bonus as nail varnish removers usually smell horrible. The sachet contained one single finger mitt which managed to take off all of my nail varnish, just as it said it would. Considering I was removing glitter nail varnish I was surprised that it managed to get it all off at once, as they can often be stubborn to remove. You can buy a box of 6 nail varnish remover finger mitts for $12 (roughly £7.50) which is a bit expensive when you consider an entire bottle of nail varnish remover costs just a couple of pounds. However saying that it's important to note that this is a luxury product that would act more as a rare treat rather then an every day essential.

I have decided to give this nail varnish remover 3/5 as I enjoyed using it, it smelt great and contained Aloe Vera which was gentle on my nails. Also after having a thorough check on the website, I noticed that all of Deborah Lippmann products are NOT tested on animals, which makes me like this product even more. It's just a shame that it is way out of my price range!

Today I will be reviewing two of the products from my last GlossyBox. See it Here.

1. Blink + Go Eyeshadow and Blush Palette

BLINK + GO

Okay, so where do I start when it comes to the Blink + Go Eyeshadow set.... I thought this product was fantastic when it comes to coverage and value for money. I always stick to the same old colours when doing my make-up however this palette offered a really pretty array of greens and greys which I was interested to try. The radiant colours on offer included brown, bronze, khaki, grey, silver grey and a cream highlighter. I tend to use a highlighter on my upper eyelid anyway, so I was pleased to see that this palette had one. The eye shadow's themselves were of a creamy texture, making them easy to apply.

I had never heard of the Blink + Go range before receiving this product in my GlossyBox but I definitely wouldn’t hesitate to try some of the other products they have to offer. When it came to enhancing my eyes, this product definitely did the job and the blusher's were just an added bonus.

This set cost £14.95 which I think is a reasonable price to pay when you consider what you get for your money.

If you are a fan of false eyelashes, then I recommend checking out the Blink+ Go website as they have a vast number of different styles to offer. I don’t tend to use falsies myself, although I do like the finished look, I just find it’s such a massive fuss to put them on. Let me know if you have any handy tips!
*Overall I loved this product and I have decided to give it a 4/5 as it's fantastic value for money. The only negative thing I could mention is the packaging. I think if anything this could do with a little work as the make-up is such great quality that I think the packaging should reflect this, after all first impressions are everything.

RITUALS SHOWER GEL

Another fantastic product which I rate highly. This product I would be inclined to say is one of the best shower gels I have used in a very long time. I was given the Eucalyptus & Rosemary in my GlossyBox and it smelt so so good! The sort of scent that stays on your skin all day which I like.

When I buy a shower gel I am always attracted to the 'foamy' ones and this particular one has a unique 'gel to foam' formulae which instantly made me interested. A similar product on the market that I could liken this one to is Imperial Leather, which I think is usually quite expensive anyway. I think when it comes to comparing the two, you might as well spend a little more money on a luxurious, high end product that is good for your skin as apposed to spending a similar amount on a product which isn't as nice.
The Rituals shower gel costs £6.50 so I don't think it would be something I would buy on a regular basis, however thats not to say I can't treat myself every now and again:)
It has already lasted me for a while, considering I use it every day. I can't get enough!

*This product is definitely more high end as I have mentioned, so I think I would give it a 4/5 as it wouldn't be something I could afford to buy all the time- although I wish I could! Also I would just like to say how generous I think it was of GlossyBox to include this product in last months beauty box, the bottle was full size not sample size and it's definitely my favourite product I have used so far. More products like this one please!

Today I have had the most relaxing day! It's my sister's 18th as I mentioned in my previous post (Day 86), so this morning we were both treated to massages which was amazing. I find it really hard to switch off and relax but I can definitely recommend massage treatments for anyone who has a similar problem. We have spent the afternoon sipping sparkling rosé and eating cake- I recommend this equally!

What a beautifully sunny day it is here in Exeter! I cannot wait for the summer now. Flip flops, harem pants and straw hats.....It's going to be a good one I can feel it! Glossy Box Review: Deborah Lippmann Nail Varnish

It feels like ages ago I got my very first glossy box now, however I have been so busy with my job hunt and unpacking from my move, that I have found it hard to find the time to actually review the products! I finally have some spare time so I am going to share with you all what I thought about Deborah Lippmann's Nail Varnish shade 'Razzle Dazzle'. It also came with some nail varnish remover which I will review in a few days time...

Overall I am really impressed with this product, although I didn't expect to be as the packaging is pretty dull and I wouldn't usually go for this particular shade. However this is the perfect example of why you shouldn't judge a book by its cover! Usually with glitter nail varnishes I find that you need several coats just to get some sort of coverage, however this wasn't the case with this nail varnish as one coat was plenty. What's more although it doesn't say that it's quick dry, it most definitely is! I would say it took roughly about 4/5 minutes for this nail varnish to dry and it didn't leave my nails tacky. I have had one coat on for 4 days now and it still hasn't chipped at all which I am really impressed with.

In terms of colour, I don't think I would necessarily buy this one myself as it simply isn't my taste, however in a different shade I could definitely be convinced. This is more of a luxury end product than one to collect, as each nail varnish costs $18.00 which is roughly about £12 (quite a lot for someone who is used to buying Barry M!) Supposedly the likes of SJP and Cher inspired Lippmann to make these nail varnishes, it's no wonder they are so expensive then! Here are some of the shades I would like to try but probably will never get to, as 8 nail varnishes would set you back a whopping £96...mmmm I can dream!

*Overall I would give this product 4/5. Although it is a great product with fantastic coverage, it's far too expensive for someone on a budget!

I have finally gone back to the gym today after what feels like a lifetime of putting it off. I definitely feel much better now and am hoping to get back into running tomorrow. It's surprising how much of your time it takes to look for jobs- fingers crossed I will find something soon. If only I could get paid to do this for a living hey?!

Hellloooooo everyone. I have spent the entire day unpacking and sorting out my wardrobe- it is an epic task! I am mortified about how much stuff I have, so much so that I have decided to set myself another little challenge. I will try to not buy any clothes for a month. I don't know how much of a chance I have of seeing this challenge through but I will definitely give it a try for the sake of my collapsing wardrobe! I hope you are all having a nice weekend. Introducing GlossyBox.....

As I mentioned in my Day 67 outfit post, I have recently signed up to receive monthly GlossyBox beauty and cosmetic products and my 1st box arrived today! Each month I plan to review the various samples on my blog in order to help and advise others before they purchase the products themselves. In terms of the first box, it has to be said that my first impressions are very positive. The packaging is beautiful and the samples are generous sized quality products. I have uploaded some photos for anyone who is perhaps considering signing up to GlossyBox. It costs just £10 a month (not including posting and packaging) and it's a great opportunity to discover and try new products, as well as showcasing them on your blog. The way I see it is I would usually spend at least £10 a month on beauty/cosmetic products anyway, so in a sense I have nothing to lose. I will review this months samples when I have had a chance to use them and see what they are like, so watch out for these posts.

The Iron Lady

I went to see 'The Iron Lady' last week with my boyfriend and although at first we were both fairly dubious, we came away having enjoyed the movie and feeling that it was a fair and interesting interpretation of Margaret Thatcher as a politician, a mother and a sufferer of dementia.

Meryl Streep was always going to be fabulous in this film, as she is also a very strikingly powerful woman. Her portrayal of Thatcher was truly astounding and at times you forget that she is acting, as her mannerisms, make-up and style are uncanny.

The narrative in particular was strong, powerful and the use of flashbacks to Thatcher's youth was often emotional and moving. Thatcher's relationship with her husband Denis, who is played by Jim Broadbent is poignant and the audience witness how they meet, fall in love and raise a family. Unsurprisingly in their relationship she wears the trousers, even forbidding him to cook his own breakfast! Her struggle with dementia see's her imagining Denis' presence after his death. She often argues with him and even cuddles up to him at night, moving scenes that are sweet and show a different side to the 'iron' lady. As a mother she is strict and focused, having very little patience with her children and instead preferring to focus on her career.

Naturally there is a strong emphasis upon the fact that Thatcher was the first woman to enter Parliament, something that cannot be ignored. There are scenes which draw attention to this. For example when we see her little feet shuffling amongst the manly brogues in Parliament and perhaps most striking we see the women's changing room, which once had just an ironing board in it, actually becoming used for the very first time. Whether Thatcher did anything for women in the long term is definitely debatable but in the film it certainly is apparent that at the time her presence in politics was revolutionary and startling.

I wasn't aware that the film was focused so heavily upon Thatcher's increasingly worsening struggle with dementia, an illness that affects the sufferer’s memory and attention. However I believe that it is this focus that makes the film so effective. It's particularly striking at the beginning when a once powerful PM has been reduced to a fragile old lady who goes to the shop to buy a pint of milk and is mortified at the price. She shuffles in her purse for a while for some change, however people in the queue are becoming increasingly impatient with her, totally unaware of who she is. This scene really hits home that no matter how powerful Thatcher may have been, her power and stature simple were no match for her struggle with dementia.

'The Iron lady' certainly lives up to her name in this film, as we see her battle with some of histories greats to get her own way. The woman who ruled Britain, for better or for worse, is seen to be making decisions for the good instead of what may have been popular or favourable. Whatever may be said about her she certainly stands her ground and there is a very pressing scene when she demands Britain go to war with Argentina over the Falklands.

Although I probably would count myself as a bit of a history buff, I don't really know the ins and outs of British Politics, so this film served an educational purpose as well as an entertaining one. I knew that Thatcher was a controversial PM because she ruled with an 'iron fist', making decisions that upset a vast majority of the public but that shamefully was the extent of my knowledge. I would definitely encourage those who perhaps would like to learn a little more about Thatcher to see this movie, however I think that if you aren’t a fan of Thatcher and her methods, you certainly won't come away liking her but you may just see a different side to her.

Finally, who would have thought that the release of this movie would have done wonders for the fashion world? Certainly not me. Thatcher was known to favour a palette of pastel colours, in particular silk blues. Since the film was released there has been an influx of her most iconic pieces on the British high street. Pussy bow blouses, structured and fitted skirts, court shoes and of course the Asprey Bag have all been favourites this season. She may have been an 'Iron Lady', but she certainly knew how to dress to impress.

3/5 Definitely worth seeing, what the film lacks in action it makes up for in plot and narrative.

Evening everyone! So I am approaching my final day in Belfast and I am definitely sad to be leaving. I have however made some pro-active changes, having spent the day applying for jobs and improving my CV with thanks to a great friend of mine. This evening Andrew and I are watching the final Harry Potter so I am guessing it's going to be an emotional night. I was a wreck last night when we watched The Deathly Hallows: Part 1 and little dobby died:(

new year...new wardrobe?

008. I haven't put a collage of pretty things together in a while and seeing as I am trying to delay packing for as long as possible, I thought today would be the ideal time to do so! Here are a selection of my latest wants and cravings, that the little devil on my shoulder is taunting me over. This year I have vowed to save as much money as possible, as I will be living at home and (hopefully) working full time with very little bills to pay. I realise how great of an opportunity this is to save lots of money and especially now that Andrew and I have discussed possibly doing some travelling in 2013. So this collage will serve as a constant reminder of all the things I want so badly, but will not allow myself to buy until I have saved a significant amount of money...this is going to take some serious will power but I must think of the bigger picture!

1. Quilt Drawstring Bag: Miss Selfridge £22. Handy and easy on the eye, this must have bag will give any outfit a touch of class and loveliness.

2. Aztec Print Body Con Dress:: Although I usually detest body con dresses as I don't believe they do anything for anyone, this one I can forgive as I am in love with the eye-catching print. Miss Selfridge £28

3. Presley Glitter Heel Platforms: These beauties are premium 70's delight in the sale costing just £50 from Topshop. Perfect for all of you glitter addicts, of which I am one!

4. Tanned Vintage Box Bag: I absolutely love this bag from New look costing just £12.99. It's available in a variety of different colours and can be held as a clutch or by making use of the authentic gold strap. MUST HAVE!

5. Kate Moss by Mario Testino. If you are a fan of the great Kate Moss, then this book needs to be given pride of place on your heavily fashion focused bookshelf. Although it's fairly pricey this is money well spent if you are a Moss addict, as you get to see Kate through the eyes of her friend and fashion photographer Mr Testino. The iconic photos are here as well as never before seen images of the pair. I found this copy at Urban Outfitters costing £44.99.

6. Peacock Feather Necklace: I absolutely love this delicate and quaint piece of jewellery. The more I see of Forever21 the more I fall in love with it. This delicate rope chain necklace features a faux peacock feather pendant framed with rhinestones and costs just £3.90.

7. Beige Print Pony Skin Loafers: This is a print that isn't used enough. Yes it can be reminiscent of Shania Twain music videos and tacky 90's Spice Girl outfit's but I think when used in moderation the pony print can look rare and quirky. These shoes are from River Island and cost £40.

8. Silver Tone Cross Dangle Earrings: I know that Urban O and Forever21 do various different versions of these earrings, however for some reason these caught my eye. How great would they look teamed with the Aztec Print Dress?!... No I must resist! These are from River Island and will set you back just £3.

Day 69

Morning everyone:) Today I intend to start packing up my stuff and begin the epic task of sorting out all my clothes for my move home on Saturday. So far I have been for a walk, made a stew and called my mum in order to put it off! I just need to get it over and done with....or maybe I could watch another Harry Potter film first?! I am spending the day looking after my boyfriend who is sick:( It's only 4 days until I move back home now and although I will miss Andrew, I am very much looking forward to catching up with old friends and continuing my job search. I have already applied for a few jobs and it's looking promising, so fingers crossed I won't be an unemployed graduate for much longer! In the meantime, I am keeping myself busy by blogging and watching ridiculous amounts of Harry Potter..

Happy Sunday everyone! Today I am having a completely lazy day, I have only just got out of bed and am now off to Andrew's parents house for a yummy roast dinner- what a life I lead! Helloo! How is everyone? I had a bit of a spending spree today with some Christmas money I had left over but I was so shocked to see how empty town was. I am guessing everyone is skint after Christmas and they are all making the wise decision to stay at home. Well not me- money tends to burn a hole in my pocket!

Friday is here at long last. I am finally getting over my evil cold, except now I think my boyfriend has caught it! This is sadly my last week in Belfast so I am trying to get lots planned, it's going to
be so weird moving back home and being apart from Andrew.
However we have some exciting plans for 2013- so the saving must begin!

Tonight we are off to see The Iron Lady and although I have heard mixed reviews about it, I am eager to make up my own mind. I will let you know what I think, more than anything I am looking forward to seeing how fashion comes into Thatcher's story, after all behind every great women is an even greater wardrobe...

Evening everyone! Although I'm still feeling a little worse for wear, it seems that something positive has come out of my bed ridden state. I have finally started gathering ideas for my 1st fictional novel. I attended a six week novel writing course last year with gifted novelist Sophie King and although it's taken me a while to actually make that step into planning, the things that I learnt on the course were priceless. If anyone reading this is interested in novel or short story writing, I would really recommend Sophie King's How to Write your first Novel Tips on her website. What's more she has also written a number of helpful books on novel writing which I equally recommend, particularly if you are in search of guidance and tips on gathering material.
